At least you can run an .080 over engine where you're at, Jamie. Out here, a .060 over thick walled engine and even a .030 over thin walled engine will run noticeably, but not detrimentally, hotter in summertime heavy traffic. My previous 230 engine developed a rod knock with only 20,000 or so miles after a complete rebuild. After finding the nut from a connecting rod bolt in the oil pan with an telescoping magnet, I decided not to drive it another inch! No more letting the shop button up the engine for me before I reinstall! I now check everything with my own torque wrench before the oil pan goes on!!!!!
