Arnie might not have built it original but she did have the push button trans at least one of the 27!! When he drops of Lee after the horrifing date listen after he shuts the engine off and you can here him set the e-brake/parking brake. When he gets Christine to start back you can see him look over to his left and reach up a push a button, them she drops in gear, and he releases the brake!! Gotta watch close but is noticeable.
