This is probably a dumb question, but I've learned never to take anything for granted. I am about to put the engine back in my 58 Belvedere. It's a 318 Poly with a Powerflight AT. Does the crank need to be realigned to the original position when I attach it to the flywheel? Since the torque converter/flywheel are a welded unit I separated the engine by unbolting the crank. It seems to me that the balance would be unaffected no matter how I put it back, but it never hurts to ask.
