Hey, I was told some time ago that the differnce between 392, and 354, was the combustion chamber was smaller on the 354. Meaning, if you put in the larger valves in the 354 heads and used them on a 392 block you got 'free' higher compression. That true? I don't have a extra set of 354's to see.
