Over a decade ago,I changed my '61 belvedere from single 2" to Dual 2¼" pipes (still w/log manifolds). Much better sound,more power and better gas mileage (in typical driving). Headers would be very beneficial,but if you have a stock camshaft you can stick with the log manifolds (won't crack,at least!)
