maybe i had just a bad poly or radiator but mine overheated in summers and never reached normal operating temperature in winters. it also never liked the autobahn. my higher compression big blocks never overheated. its not normal for a big block to use 1 or 2 head gaskets a year. not without a reason they built b blocks from 57-78!
