Octagon is a very harsh cleaning soap (raw lye-based) used in rural areas of Georgia where/when I grew up. You used this stuff for 3 reasons. 1) CHEAP, 2) Good at scouring grease off stuff, and 3) great for mouthwashing when you talked back to Mom and Dad! Actually, 56 Adventures came in Gold/Black, Black/Gold, White/Gold, Gold/White, Black/White and White/Black colors. There is also ONE ALL-Black Adventurer evidently special ordered for a doctor or lawyer I think was in Maryland. Ans speaking of the "Strawberry Milkshake" Firedome, they also made Lavender/Pink "La Femmes".
