I replaced cranksaft pulley for my Chryslers 413 engine ("61). I noticed old pulley was balanced, rubber insulation etc like in harmonic balancer! replacement was not. It is common BB pulley. One screw hole does not fit in new pulley but otherwise it works just fine. Engine idles smoothly. Does it have to be balanced? Can anyone tell me why is it that way?
