Hey George! Tell me how well was the engine running before you started work on it? When you pulled the pan, did you find sludge build up? Did you compression check the engine prior to this project? Certain things have to be known to make a rational judgement. If the engine has good compression, no sludge build up or minimal, I would say, put it back together with the new timing gear/chain set and gaskets. I would pull the heads and get hardened exhaust seats though. If the block isn't cracked or really scored, keep the block and rebuild it if everything else went south. If you know what I mean!
