Mike, Before removing any torsion bar, remove all of the adjustment out of it. You should support the lower control arm with a screw jack or something similiar. You want the torsion bar to come straight back, that's why you do step 2 Don't forget to remove the retainer clip in the back of the torsion bar saddle too. Make sure that rubber boot doesn't tear on the saddle either, unless you have a new one. Good Luck!
