Could it be that your engine just runs cool? I have a 59 Sport Fury and although I live in Florida and drive in 90 + Degrees the temp gauge only moves slightly when fully warmed up. I too thought the temp gauge wasn't working properly and after changing it and a few other things it has always behaved the same way. My mechanic told me it was operating correctly so I have accepted the fact that I works the way it does. Russell
