The bell housing bolt pattern for the Poly and B/RB engines are not the same. You will need a tranny from behind a big block car. Just a thought, have you considered using the transmission that came with the 440 you have? I agree keeping the push buttons are great, but a floor shift, especially the ones that look like the 60s four speed shifter do not really look out of place in these cars. I just looked them up and they are still available.
