There could be a problem with mating a mid-sixties poly or any LA engine with the early ('61 or older) transmission. The bolt pattern on the back of the block was changed sometime in the "60's, I think for '62. Several holes do not line up and the dowel pins are way off, about an inch on each side. Check compatability before you sink money into non-useable parts, please. Paul H
