Was the Toyota Crown V8 officially imported like the Daimler was?

Yes,there are some Toyota Crown Hemi V8 cars in the US, but I was under the impression that the 1964-67 V8 Crowns were never officially imported by Toyota,and the Daimler was (as you can see by the USA agency brochure at www.jag-lovers.org).
