There are no fuses in forward look cars. Do not take the switch apart, it is pot metal and will break, or you will not be able to put it together without breaking it. The problem is corrosion on the rheostat for the dome lights. Get some good electrical switch cleaner and spray it down, turn it a bunch of times, spray it down, dry it, then test it for continuity. Do this untill it starts to work or you get tired of it and just make a jumper to straight wire the dash lights on. Your brake lights are controled by a switch on the master cyl. that has gone bad. Replace it and you will be good to go.
