Well two similar cars recounted in recent books were the '55 Plymouth St. Louis special (this had its own special blue color and was made in the St. Louis plant),and the '57 Dodge Coronet "Texan". The Texan was basically a name badge on the back that Texas dealers could order, and it sounds like you found the Iowa dealers could get such a thing for a Plymouth. A very interesting piece of history!
