Daven -- I think your prices may be the wholesale or dealer cost. I think the window sticker showed my 310 horse/361 CID Sono to be $389, which was pretty pricey in October, 1959. I still believe that Plymouth intended to upgrade their '59 hipo 361 and the 383 was in response to the Dodge Dart. However, the "Golden Commandos" engineers knew that 330/383 would be NHRA Superstock and 310/361 would be just barely A/Stock. . . .
