My 318 Poly will overheat after driving only about 5 miles or so. I have a new thermostat, radiator, belts, hoses, etc. The car also has a new heater core installed. I have checked to be sure the heat valve on the exhaust manifold is open also. The engine has just been rebuilt and is still the standard bore size. I tried back flushing the cooling system and it is still getting hot. Has anyone else had a similar problem? The car has a new dual exhaust system on it and I have noticed that the exhaust seems to be real hot out the tailpipes as soon as I start it even when it is cold. I am stumped.
