I'm surprised no one else answered this,this is from the shop manuals. Anyway,SO 0928 is sequence order (car built on) Sept. 28 (1960),NUMBER 0139 is production sequence #139,Body 332 is a Fury V8 2-dr. Hardtop,Trim 525 is Red Cloth & Vinyl Interior,and Paint PW2 is Cardinal Red Metallic with an Alpine White roof two-tone.
The ORIGINAL engine number for a 383 would start with R-38,an engine built the same day as your car would be main (top) number R-38928,for example. (not MP-383)
