I just pulled the carb from my 58 Belvedere for a rebuild. It has the number O-1235 on the side. The problem is that none of the parts dealers I've tried can identify it from that number. Apparently this doesn't match anything they have in their books. I've found a generic rebuild kit that *should* work, but I'm curious if anybody knows why this doesn't match with anything. As far as I know this is the original carb and judging by the amount of gunk I've gotten out of it I beleive it has been there for 43 years.
