I have completed the brake swap on my 61 Plymouth Fury. I used all the parts from a 77 Ply. Fury, and didn't have a problem.....until I tried the test drive. It seemed to go well, stopping with a reasonable amount of foot pressure, no jetrking to one side, no unusual noises, but every once in a while the brakes would become very soft. If I pumped them a litle, then applied full pressure they felt good again. The Master Cylinder is new, and I bled the heck out the lines. The only conclusion I can come up with is the possibility of a check valve for the rear brakes. Does the 61's come with one or do I need to install one? If I did install a check valve, how many pounds should I use?
Thanks for any input,
Jonny
