I think POR-15 works. I've used it on some pieces of my '59 Plymouth with success. I know a GM collector who has used it with two '59 Chevys and a '60 Buick and is delighted with the results. My application has held up well over the last several years since application, but I must point out I was very anal about getting the areas on the car super clean before applying the POR-15.
