I have used POR-15 for the past 2-3 years, mostly on frames and gas tanks. Wire brush off loose rust; use shop air and paint thinner to clean, then apply POR-15. Repaired a gas tank that had 13 pin hole leaks on top and 2 on bottom. Apply a coat of POR-15, while still tacky, apply a layer of fiber glass cloth, then another coat of POR-15. Did this 2 years ago and tank is still like new. POR is impervious to gas or oil. Have had best luck with the black. Don't get any on your hands - it takes a week for it to wear off.
