On your restoration the choice you make is yours as it is your car. To answer your question on a '64 B-body Plymouth only aluminum package cars had hood scoops. Cars with hood scoops did not have hood spears or call out ornaments. The hood spear in your photo is the short spear found on Savoy and one Belvedere sedans. Long hood spears were found on Belvedere hardtops, fury, and sport fury models. Many owners added hood scoops to hoods when they added cross rams or had steel hoods with no scoop and wanted one. Restoring cars will find this short hood spear used by many that add scoops so it is a common thing to see, again your choice. My original '64 aluminum nose car was hood scoop, no spear, my '64 steel nose car was long spear no hood scoop.

As I move along with the restoration of my 64 Sport Fury 426 Max Wedge, I'm seriously thinking about putting a hood scoop on it. I'd like to get one that is correct to the car, so hope you can help.
