I just painted the engine compartment of my 64 Belvedere. Actually under direction of a painter I did the prep and he did the actual spraying. He had me clean the seams, use a rust converter then apply the seam sealer. Then after the seam sealer was applied he painted the engine compartment. I considered using black plastic roofing cement, which comes in 10oz tubes and applies easily with a normal caulking gun. Better choices???
