Bob, I enjoy your post on Mopars for sale, and thought your post on the delivery guy showing his patriotism was right on-target. In a time when most Americans never serve our country (less than 1/2 of 1% serve in uniform), and Congress is at the lowest percentage of Veterans ever, a little showing of an old man honoring the flag is important.--
What this has to do with Mopars, is that we used to have three car manufacturers in this country and a few foreign makes trickling in (TRs, VWs, etc). Now, GM and Ford are in a race to stay even with Toyota, Nissan, Kia, etc, and Chrysler is, for all intents, owned by foreign investors. I think we all fear that someone in Paris, or Brussels, or Berlin will decide that Dodge is too "American" with big high-performance V8 engines, and Chrysler is dead as a brand. Better to take Ram and Jeep and place a Fiat or Citron badge on their hoods.
It is important that we, as Americans, support our own industries, steel, rubber, oil, and cars. A little patriotism is both refreshing and necessary, or our manufacturing infrastructure will be built on Chinese steel, in Japanese cars, and riding on French tires.
I buy Mopars both because they are the best cars, and because they are American. A little
reminder that we are important as a country is nice. I spent well over 20 years in the Army and it is important to me.
If this places me outside the mainstream, the at OK. I enlisted in the Army in 1967 so being ostracized is not new. I even drive my Mopars to GM and Ford car shows.....

So, I sold my 65 Bel years ago but I have continued to enjoy the group. I am the guy who every few weeks or so posts a couple of dozen Mopars for sale around the country. I thought that most folks enjoyed them but because I posted what I felt was a terrific video of a guy doing something completely non-political but truly inspiring during these troubled times, I’m getting 86’d? Go figure.
