Yes I mocked it up just with the tailhousing and crossmember just to see how bad. Its tight definitely gotta open it up.

Mine is a 67 727.  Should be same as your set up.  I think they clear the 66 and up cars but are a challenge for our chassis.

I am in the process of installing one.  My car project is paused for a while as I just moved house but I am going to need surgery on the floor and a custom exhaust.  My 440 and transmission is physically in the car but the OD is wedged between the trans tunnel and trans cross member.
