Re: 62 Imperial 413 Motor Mounts?

The ears are in the same place IIRC. But maybe someone else knows if that D body would still have had the extended crank rear flange. If so the crank and your transmission won’t play nice together. The cranks in B bodies definitely had switched to the late style crank by 62 so maybe the Imperial and the C bodies did too. Bottom line if it is extended flange, you can put a later (to ‘66 IIRC) 413,426 Wedge, 440 crank into your 62 413 and that will take care of the issue. Go later than that and I believe the 67 and up cranks have a larger flange recess (where the transmission input shaft or AT torque converter snout mates up.) There are workarounds but it may be getting into more trouble and expense than what you wanted.

Hello,
Does a 1962 Imperial 413 mount the same as a 1963 Plymouth 383?  I saw a listing for a 413 that was reasonable and I'm looking for a replacement for my aging 383.

Thanks
