There are portable units, as Jim notes. Some you can monitor using a cell phone, so you don't need to install a gauge in 
the dash. Here is an older article that gives some overview.

There are conflicting views as to if you need 2 for a dual exhaust but Holley says no if the sensor is properly installed.
