I detest when people do that!!!   Its not a cheby!!!!   Good grief !! my buddy did that on his charger!  I didn’t say anything as he only did it to freshen the compartment until he can restore the car.  He even told me up front what he had done so I wouldn't hate him!!  Hahahahaha

The "paint over the chrome" is a mistake. Did they also paint the engine compartment black? -- Which is okay only of the car itself is covered with black paint.  :)
