I have a spare NOS 1965 speedo cable if you/anyone is still in need…was rummaging through my parts bins yesterday.

I assume you have your cable lubed with an appropriate grease. Does it bind anywhere in hand rotation? Is the cable housing kinked,burned,rusted badly, or smashed? Any leaks?

There was a posting on the A-body thread about Ford parts "looking" very similar. Specifically the speedo gears and speedo cables, which were about 1/3 the price. I could use a speedo cable. When I had my instrument panel apart I put a drill on my speedo and it worked flawlessly. But even with a well lubed speedo cable mine will "bounce" about very 5-10 seconds. So it must be in the cable but I'll be damned if I'll pay $120 for one. Or $65 for a speedo gear.
