I ordered an ECM from Summit and it was actually their instructions that provided the clue. One of the tests they suggested was to check the voltage at the {+] coil post saying it should read between 7-9 volts. Mine measured < 1. So I knew I had screwed up something when I rewired. So i started tracing everything and discovered I had switched the two coil leads. I'm surprised it ran at all. So I sit here red faced and embarrassed. And thank everyone for their help and suggestions. As usual I managed to learn a few things along the way. Thanks Everyone, Paul L.
