Hey Jim. l was gonna install one on my 440 but sold the car last fall. l did a fair amount of research on the various companies selling EFI kits and found a lot of info. One thing l can tell you for sure is DO NOT buy the MSD Atomic system. lf one of the
sensors fail you can not, l repete, you can not buy an of the shelf sensor. You must instead send the whole throttle body back to MSD, on your own dime mind you, for them to "determine" which if any sensors failed. And when you point out to them how stupid
that really is, they basically call you a moron and kick you, in this case me, out of their forum. There was some other issues l pointed out to them prior to getting the boot but the whole sensor thing really sticks out in my mind.
Another thing to keep in mind is these EFI systems need time to learn your engine's parameters. You have to drive your car to get it to learn your driving habits as well. l've heard of so many people installing it and expect it to run perfectly out of the
box. And when it obviously doesn't, they send it back saying it doesn't work.
As far as who has the better system, FAST, Holley or Fitech, they're all pretty good. The one advantage Fitech and maybe the Holley Sniper systems have over FAST is that you don't need a CD ignition box. lf you already have a CD ignition box then you really
can't go wrong with either one of these three. But if you've got a stock looking car and want to keep it looking s close to stock as possible, go with Fitech. l'm not 100% sure if Holley requires an ignition box.
Also, you'll need an efi pump and lines, which come with these kits. Fitech ha some really awesome solutions for this. From in line pumps to in tank retrofit pumps to full race set ups. l recommend you check out their website. Hope this helps. And again,
don not buy the MSD.

-- I hope everyone is safe and well.
I'm contemplating a bit of re-work on my '64 Fury. You may recall a few years back I built a 511 from an old motorhome block and powered it with two Edelbrock's on top of a CH-28 dual quad. I'm thinking about bolting a dual quad EFI system on and looking
at what's out there, e.g., Sniper, FAST, FiTech. Has anyone done this and if so could you share your experiences and thoughts?
I haven't dug into this too far and I know these systems "self-tune," but I'm thinking I will want a setup that will let me tune some parameters myself ... the fuel and ignition tables at a minimum.
Thank you,
Jim
