Well, why not? Lots of people here from lots of places in the USA...
The first one, or two there are, are of some kind of park, possibly with a leaning towards a museum, in either Oklahoma or Texas. The photo I took before these were at the Clinton OK exit, the next photos after this were the Gray County rest area (and information center). It's along the I40, but off the main road in a town.
What I remember is that it was a fair drive through the town to get back to the Interstate, it was a very nice spot with plenty of people around.
And if you're familiar with the I40 to the West of this point, somewhere beyond Amarillo, and probably (but not certainly) beyond the New Mexico border there's an uphill climb and a town most of the way up that climb. Going North from the Interstate there's a McDonalds on the Eastern side of that street. No photos of this, but the recollection is that the I40 is pretty straight through this section. It's definitely before Albuquerque.
