I happened to catch the episode quite awhile back where they were evaluating the car. He had to be a little humble because he knew absolutely nothing about that era of mopars. So while he may be a know it all about the later 60's and early 70's muscle cars. His knowledge base is very narrow. And because he is such an ass I very rarely watch. Which is a pity as it could be a respite from all bow ties all the time.
(Gary, I'm also going to post this on the thread I started before.)
BTW I have completed half of the rewiring under the hood of my '63 SF. I have the loom that feeds the head lights yet to do. The most noticeable difference was that my horns actually can be heard now. I also changed the dash lighting to LED's, which made a big difference. I was at a loss of how to handle the bulkhead issue. So since I'm too fat and inflexible to get under the dash to do much rewiring there I cleaned those connections and spliced into those wire @ 6" from the firewall. I have soldered all of the connections and used all new spade connectors, which are also soldered.
At the same time I have eliminated the amp meter and the fire hazard posed by that wiring. Although mine showed no evidence of excessive heat. I plan to add a voltmeter in it's place some time this summer.
I've only had one issue, which I haven't solved yet. My tach quit working. The only wire that I did anything with was the wire that goes to the (-) side of the coil, which was replaced. Now with the engine at Idle it will show approximately the correct reading. But as soon as you rev the engine it drops to zero. So I'm thinking that maybe I've disturbed the ground wire, which is under the dash somewhere. I may work on that a little today.

They are just starting restoring one now. Should be of interest to this group. 383 4bbl 4 speed, appears all original as can be for a nearly 55 year old car. Tony's Restoration is working with them.
I've not been a fan of this show due to the abrasive personality of the host, Mark Worman(?). I watched last week's show and he has definitely calmed down a whole lot and I can now suggest you tune back in.
