The poly graphite is great too you dont have to grease the bushings they are made with the graphite in the bushing. The brakes you have to watch they are all good the wilwoods calipers are flat on the sides so you can fit any wheel. The ssbc calipers are really wide they bump into my cragars I had to put a spacer on. Regular steel rims they are fine. What was welded on the car?

Do you really need to upgrade? How about just replacing the work out stuff. Upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. Just use some good stuff like the poly graphite bushings that are readily available. 

If you don't want the drum brakes a front disc conversion is pretty easy too but it's not cheap.
