Re: Fw: Speedometer gear



Ok I tryed looking it up on line just to see what it looks like. It looks similar to the ford type ones with the little clip to hold it on. I thought the other post 66 ones were hard to find. These look impossible to find and  expensive. They look a little longer then the ford ones.

Pre 66 727 transmissions use a plastic speedometer gear that is not the same as those used with the 66 and later 727's.
Speedometer gears used with the pre 66 727 transmissions have 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 & 21 teeth. The same gears are used with the pre 66 904 auto trans, the 903 3 speed manual and the 833 4 speed manual trans.
The pre 66 745 3 speed manual trans uses a similar, but different, gear with 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22 teeth.
