Robert Recently sold my 62 Belvedere 700 miles away to someone who never saw in person. Have done this a couple times. Sent many many pictures. Running video even better Offered to have come inspect and ride and if not what I advertised I would pay his trip cost to see it. Very important— list What might be objectionable I also listed all potential defects Leaky header gasket Transmission pan gasket Intake manifold gasket leaking oil 2” paint scrape on rear trim Missing window crank Missing horn cap Among others Excruciating detail and willing to make right anything else other than power train which I documented the build and when done.
I ended up agreeing to fix a few small things. Sold and buyer is happy.
Full disclosure is best policy. Offering to pay travel cost to see it if not as advertised is a good selling point.
Then try to get a fair price. Everyone wants to pay less than what you think it is worth
