Dave,
I'm not sending the heads out. Right now I'm just cleaning up this engine for display in my car barn, I'm sure the manifold has a sholder this sleeve nut butts up to. I'm hoping someone here has run up against this. Not sure if drilling or a easy-out is the best way to go after it.
Thank You,
Nick

If you are rebuilding the heads the machine shop that will do the valves and deck it will be able to remove those bolts and check the threads, if you can get the heads off with the manifolds still in place.
David C Hurdvia iPhoneI have 361 wedge that I'm disassembling. Removing the exhaust manifolds has become a problem. All nuts came off with no problem, no rust at all. The last two sleeve type nuts that go through the manifold are the problem. The left side collapsed and the right side worn rounded. Can these be drilled out, or is there a better way. I"ve not had this problem before and looking for advise.
Thank you,
Nick Tiberio
