The Phoenix name stuck with all Dodge sedans sold in Australia from 1960 onwards. Generally they were low-spec to mid-spec models, until 1966 only Poly 318 sedans, from that point onwards there was the choice of a 383-powered pillarless 4-door. Very few options apart from colours. Ben's '64 is a 440 spec. About 1000 cars per year was the highest sales level.
Once the Australian Valiant reached a larger size and had the V8 option selling well the Dodges were simply phased out.
