-Check the water sensor and make sure it is accurate. - I use a Moroso high flow 160-degree thermostat. - May need a high flow water pump.
Google this link Robert Foley’s 426 Max Wedge–Powered 1963 Polara Overheats. We’re Gonna Fix ItAnd it will take you to the April Hotrod article with many good items. I have a 528 hemi in my 65 Coronet. With fan blade and electric fan it still goes over 200 degrees at idle.I read the below article about overheating.Anybody have a comment regarding this article before I start over trying to resolve my heating problem?I will check all these things and see what type (how many pass) radiator I have as well as pulley ratio, and thermostat. It seems to make sense to keep water running thru the radiator for as many passes / time as possible to cool it before returning to the engine. Thanks for your experience and comments.https://www.daymotorsports.com/info/technical-info/article/overheating-problemsDavid E.
