Re: exhaust manifold paint / coating?

Well, slap my knee !!! I have used this product and never thought about using it on exhaust manifolds.   My plow lays would get surface rust, and even deeper. They need to be shiney ( scoured)  for the dirt to lay over and make a nice furrow. I would coat the lays with slip plate , and the dirt would lay over good.  And as the dirt wore the paint off , it would leave the bare metal smooth and shiney.  Also used to coat  the inside of gravity flow grain wagons  so the grain will slide out easier.  Buy it at any farm supply store--brush or rattle cans.........................MO

Hi all,

What is a good approach when restoring a Mopar you reach the point of detailing the stock factory cast iron headers?
Seems I recall whatever the factory applied did not last long. (Or what did they apply?)

Does anyone know about this product called Slip-Plate?
