Re: 65 Radiator Tank Seam Splits



I've had '65s for 25 years and never had this problem. I like the twist idea as a potential source since it's happened to multiple radiators - check it again diagonally, up, down, left and right.

I'm having an issue with my top tank seam splitting in my Coronet. This is the second radiator, and the fourth time it's happened. And I found another one on eBay same problem. Anybody else having this issue? Or know about this issue? I'm really confused as to why it's happening. I'm not using a universal radiator hose, everything is tight, nothing seems to be stressing the top hose port.

Thoughts?
