Hi all, I recently got the new (August 2018) Mopar Action magazine. Unusually, there were several items about 1962-1965 Mopars! The cover features a 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury hardtop survivor, 1 of 13 made with a Max Wedge. Another article is about the barn find of the "Mr. 4 Speed" 1965 Plymouth of Herb McCandless racing fame. Then an article about a 1962 Valiant with a blown Hemi sporting two 850 Holleys. Last is a reprint of the article from Mopar Action in 1990 about the "Shutdown" song by the Beach Boys and a recreated match race between the 413 Dart and the Stingray. (Spoiler alert: the Beach Boys got the ending wrong.) By the way, there was a page put up about this Mopar vs 'Vette race way back in 1997. http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/shtdwn.html The original video link on that page has timed out but here is a revised link to the song. https://youtu.be/2P5RCurT8Yw Thanks, Gary H. -- -- -- Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
