All ignition switches the same?

I discovered that my ignition switch in my 65 Coronet is on its way out this weekend. I want to replace it with an oem unit as the first one lasted 53 years, but I doubt a modern version would. When I search for the part number that I derived out of my parts book, it seems to go from 61 through 68 and pretty much every car for those years. Does that sound correct?

If that's the case, then I guess I'll just find anyreasonably priced new OEM unit?
