So l guess l was partially right. My friend's Monaco did have a poly 318 in it. l literally thought back then they just got rid of old parts etc. if they could. But seeing as how your Canadian C-body theory makes way more sense, l'll go with that since l'm in Canada.

Subject: Re: [Canadian] 318 Short Block ?--
No such thing as a leftover A block 318 poly in 1967. Chrysler Canada built A block poly 318 engines in 1967 for Canadian-built C body Plymouths and Dodges as well as Canadian-built Dodge and Fargo trucks..
Chrysler of Canada would not have the tooling for the LA 318 ready until the 1968 model year, You can tell a Canadian 1967 A block 318 by the engine number (located on the front of the left half of the block just below the head).
The US-built 1967 wedge LA 318 engine serial numbers started with C318 (C for 1967) while the Canadian-built 1967 poly A 318 engines started with CC318 (First C for Canadian and the second C for 1967 model year.)
Also, the Canadian market 6 cylinder Dodge Polaras and Monacos were model CD1 while the American-market Polaras and Monacos (standard V8 engines 383 V8) were model CD2. Canadian market V8 Polaras and Monacos (standard engine 318 A block V8) were CD3.
Getting to "2532 735", I checked the passenger car parts lists from 1964 through 1967 and there is no 2532 735 listed. 1964 was the first year part numbers started with 2532 appeared. So it is most likely a truck engine. My truck parts books are rather hit and miss. Is there a model code any where on the crate? It is a four digit code that started with "0".
