I am posting the note below for list member Bill H., who is having some technology issues at the moment. Thanks, Gary H. -------- Another good gig for retirees, who live in a metro-area, is driving for Enterprise Rent A Car. I did this for six years after I retired. You won't get rich, but you'll get to drive and experience the new cars, develop connections with dealers, their staff, others in the auto world, etc. It definitely beats test-driving a car at a dealership. You're basically moving new cars from dealerships to ERAC branch offices and between branches/auction yards, etc. No customer pick-ups. Scheduling is flexible. I normally worked 20+ hours/week in the California E Bay area, and averaged about 250 miles daily. There were also opportunities for out-of-town trips, but those were done strictly on a volunteer basis, i.e., you could turn them down if you didn't want to do long hauls. It was one of the most fun jobs I've had. When you showed up for work in the morning, you never knew who you'd be working with, what cars you'd be driving or where you'd be going. It was all up to the dispatcher, the person you want to butter up the most! Bill > -------Original Message------- > From: Richard Kinsley > > The Blair guys do deliver them.
