Re: 273 Edelbrock LD4B

MO,

I can only say that this manifold will make more Torque & HP but with more Torque & HP you tend to “use” it and that means less mileage.  If your driving manners were the same using the smaller primaries on a 500cfm Edelbrock than most 2bbl primaries having to make-up for lack of torque/power...then in “theory” you would get the same or better mileage; but I don’t think you should consider this manifold for the reasons of mileage alone.

Gary, do you think an aluminum dual plain hi riser like yours could actually improve gas mileage  on a stock LA 318.  Getting 19 mpg now with the bone stock engine.( I think 2 bbl--  1968 Sport Satellite. ................................MO

I am thinning the herd of parts I will never use so please let me know of any interest...a pristine LD4B for the 273LA that looks like new is offered to our list members.  Chrysler part #2836139 on the LD4B.
The Edelbrock LD4B comes with OEM cast water neck outlet, temp sender...killer manifold for the 273 & 318LA engines; looks like the LD340 in my Dart but smaller size runners to mate with the 273/318LA.  I will send pictures if they don’t come through on this general email posting.

Email or call me with any interest.

Thank you!
