Frank,
Welcome to the List!
Sounds like what you want to build is what I built.
392 Poly Stroker, 405 hp, 472 tq (all below 5000 rpm), .470 Racer Brown camshaft, 9.5:1, Chrysler Power intake. This thing runs like stink, and the power is instantaneous. My car has 3.55's and it's a great combo of cruising and scooting.
I'll be happy to share additional details if you like. The combination is pretty easy and simple.
Take care!

'll be tearing down the motor in the coming week and getting it to a machine shop for clean up and evaluation. My goals for it are to build a stroker that's streetable and fun to drive but also reliable. Gary and I have done some basic discussions on what will be done to the motor in prep for it landing between the fenderwells of my '55. It'll be backed by either a 904 or 727 trans and 8 3/4 rear end. Grin factor and building an old hotrod that doesn't have a motor that you see every day are my goals.
Thanks!
Frank
