Probably it's worth a call to Inline Tube and explain the situation to see what they say.  Since you bought a bunch of stuff they may ship you a replacement without requiring you to ship the defective one back. Maybe someone on this mail list knows the people at Inline Tube personally and can add advice. <2 cents tossed>
